What goes into the price
The upfront price of a solar system depends on three things:
- System size (kWp) — sized to your daytime electricity usage. Most Filipino homes need 3kWp to 8kWp.
- Equipment quality — panels, inverter, mounting, and (optionally) battery storage.
- Installation — permits, labour, and grid interconnection with your utility.
As a rough guide, buying outright:
- 3 kWp — around ₱150,000–₱210,000, suits a small household
- 5 kWp — around ₱250,000–₱350,000, suits an average family home
- 8 kWp — around ₱400,000–₱560,000, suits a large home or small business
